Evening Symposium on Kashmir Shaivism with Dr Rafelle Torella, September 2013
Ishwar Ashram Trust, Delhi Kendra, organized an evening symposium on Kashmir Shaivism on Wednesday, 23rd October 2013. The trust had invited Prof Raffaele Torella, Professor of Sanskrit at University of Rome "Sapienza", where he has also taught for long Indian Philosophy, Religion and Indology. Prof Torella was also involved in organising the first International Workshop on Acharya Utpaladeva (Indian Institute for Advanced Study, Shimla 2010).

He delivered a lecture on the Importance and significance of Acharya Utpaladeva and this was very well received by the audience. It was followed by an intense round of questions from the audience. Besides Prof Torella, other scholars of repute such as Prof M L Kukiloo, Dr Rajneesh Mishra, Dr S S Toshkhani also made short presentations at the evening symposium. Dr M H Zafar and Prof M L Sar, both eminent scholars of Kashmir Shaivim were also present. The symposium concluded with a video lecture of Shaivacharya Swami Lakshmanjoo Maharaj.
